The short version
We use what you send us to answer you, and — if you engage us — to act for you. We do not sell it, rent it, or add you to a marketing list. Relocation files contain some of the most sensitive information a person holds, and we treat them accordingly.
What we collect
- What you send us. Through the enquiry form or by email: your name, email address, where you currently live, the jurisdictions you are considering, your timeline, and anything else you choose to tell us.
- What an engagement requires. If you engage us, considerably more: identity documents, addresses, family details, and the documentation an authority or a bank requires. We collect only what the relevant process actually requires, and we tell you why each item is needed.
- What the server logs. Standard web-server logs — IP address, page requested, timestamp — kept for security and retained briefly.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics cookies, and there is no cookie wall, because there is nothing to consent to. If we later add analytics, we will say so here first and ask you properly.
How we use it
To reply to your enquiry; to prepare a recommendation; and, under an engagement, to prepare and file applications and to make the introductions you have asked for. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
Who we share it with
Only where you have asked us to act, and only what is necessary: the relevant immigration authority; the licensed lawyer, tax advisor, or valuer we introduce you to; the bank you have asked to be introduced to; a school you are applying to. We never share your information with a third party for marketing, and we do not sell it. Where the law compels disclosure, we comply and, where we lawfully may, we tell you.
Retention
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within twelve months. Engagement files are kept for as long as professional and legal record-keeping obligations require, and then destroyed.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to our using it. Write to [email protected] and a person will answer you. If you are in the European Union, you may also complain to your national data-protection authority; we would rather you came to us first, but the right is yours.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Client files are held under access control and shared with third parties only through the channels those parties require. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.
Changes
If we change this notice we will update the date at the top of this page, and we will tell current clients directly if the change is material.
